This hand-bound coffee table book is a dedication to independent coffee shops and the friendly, cozy atmosphere that they provide. Whether people go to a coffee shop to do work or to relax, there is always a special sense of community. I interviewed and photographed 10 patrons in various coffee shops around New York City to find out how they are spending their time there. The book is designed to have a worn-in feeling with hand-written captions to embody the friendly atmosphere of a coffee shop. The captions under each photo represent quotes from the interviews explaining very unique reasons that each individual is spending their time in a coffee shop.
